What’s your background in sustainability?
I have been Social Media Manager for green tech start up Geoship, a bioceramic geodesic dome architecture company, in 2020. I’ve also spent years with the celebrated environmental non-profit TreePeople, where I started off planting, and then moved into membership outreach, receiving a certificate of recognition from the City of Los Angeles for my work, which was a special honor for me. Another rewarding experience I had was the sea turtle rescue program which was created while I worked on the Royal Resorts executive team in Cancun, Mexico; over 25,000 baby sea turtles were protected and released on our beach one summer. ‘Every Day is Earth Day’ is a consistent message woven into all my clients’ marketing, through my years at the major records labels to current day indie artist digital marketing. I’ve always been a nature lover, and look to conserve in all ways possible.
What do you do for IceWind?
I am the Social Media Manager, handling Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and our YouTube channel. I curate the visuals and copy to share the story of our beautiful wind turbines, and interact with people who are interested in learning more. I’m also growing our email list – be sure to sign up at https://www.icewindusa.com/contact-us/.
What excites you about IceWind?
I feel that the durability factor of our vertical-axis wind turbine technology is a distinctive offering for commercial applications, and am inspired to do anything I can to support our team to engage with businesses to up their sustainability game! I feel that our residential micro wind turbine The Freya is a work of art which can help save the world. I love being a part of the smart and savvy Team IceWind!
If you could put an IW wind turbine anywhere, where would you set one up?
I envision a home by the sea, so it would be great to have a Freya to help power that dream.
